After a quiet opening when all rinks were even Frampton took control. Tom's rink with everyone one their game took an 8 shot lead, Wilf and his boys also took a lead of around 5 shots while Ron and his merry men were even. Although Stroud started to get back at Frampton they never caught up and at the end of the game all three rinks won .... Tom by 8 , Wilf by 3 and Ron a very creditable win against Dave Howes by 4 shots. All three rinks winning was a great result. Congratulations to the reserves who played in the previous game against Victory Park but were not selected for the Final.

Wednesday Gang
It is all beginning to happen now. The Clubhouse is busy with the Wednesday Gang beavering away covering all sorts of jobs.
The biggest job so far was installing a new watering system for the green. Trenches dug , slabs lifted, blocks cut and pipes laid, new wiring installed all covered by the Wednesday Gang. The more technical aspects were covered by a specialist company hired by Pete Harrison. Looks like a very good job Pete. Well done to you and the Gang".
While this was going on other tasks were being completed. Locks have been installed to the two outside cupboards to avoid the issues we had last year. The three changing rooms have all been decorated and thoroughly cleaned and new lighting installed. The Alarm system has been serviced, and a new lock installed to the Bar Door. Other jobs are in progress including giving the benches some TLC. The last major job will be cleaning and light restoration work on the balcony. The plan is to tackle this late March early April.
All members are welcome to join us on a Wednesday. No membership fee, entry is free. No matter how able you are or aren't jobs can be found for all. If nothing else it is worth coming for the coffee and cake !!
